We opened in 2016 as London’s first Yurt café and have evolved over the years to include the community hub and stretch tent.
Our aim is to create an affordable café offering locally sourced food and a great atmosphere to connect with others. Any profits we make from the Yurt café goes towards providing activities for the local community.
We hope that everyone who walks through our door has a pleasant time and wants to come back again. Our commitment to ethical and sustainable practices extends beyond the plate. We aim to provide food for the soul, wanting you to feel renewed and refreshed so that your Yurt experience continues when you leave.
The Yurt Café is a vibrant hub for community connection, where conversations flow, reflections are shared, and creativity thrives through art, music, and food.
We’re proud to be a space that brings people together, creating a sense of belonging and collaboration across diverse communities.
Since 1950, St Katharine's has been at the heart of Limehouse, nurturing relationships and building lasting networks in this dynamic area. Our rich history of community service continues today, and we invite you to explore the exciting projects that bring us all closer.

At The Yurt Café, we care about serving great coffee because we believe every cup is a little treat to enjoy and look forward to each day.
Our coffee comes from speciality coffee roasters, and the one we’re proud to use is Wings of Eagles. The beans are carefully sourced from smallholder coffee growers. This blend offers an easy-drinking espresso, perfect for those who appreciate a well-balanced cup.
It’s not a dark roast but delivers rich, classic flavours and a velvety texture, our modern take on a traditional favourite.
We also embrace the meaning of Nuach, which represents rest, settling, and finding a peaceful moment of calm. Let our coffee be a part of your time to pause and unwind.
We offer an extensive menu for breakfast, lunch, and brunch with a variety of drink options. Our breakfast menu includes light and healthy options like granola with coconut yogurt and hearty options like full English breakfast.
Our lunch menu includes a variety of delicious options such as fresh, house-made salads, mouthwatering paninis, and freshly made soups. Perfect for those on the go or looking for a quick bite during lunchtime. And of course, you can wash it all down with our selection of refreshing iced coffees or a selection of cold drinks.
We believe that everyone should be able to enjoy a delicious meal, regardless of their dietary preferences or restrictions. Our vegan and vegetarian options are just as delicious and satisfying as our regular menu items.
We offer vegan and vegetarian breakfast options such as avocado toast or vegan sausage sandwiches.
We also have a selection of plant-based milk options for those who prefer non-dairy alternatives.
