In this room are classical landscapes and seascapes from the late 18th or early 19th Century, based on Claude’s Arch of Titus and the landing of Aeneas.
This is our largest conference room and can seat up to 70 delegates. Enjoying excellent views of our garden, the room is fully equipped with AV equipment and air conditioning. The room can be set up in a variety of seating configurations to suit a large number of meetings and events. It is named after Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, who was Patron of St Katharine’s from 1953 up until her death in 2002.
Located in the Georgian part of the building, this room offers fantastic views over the garden. It is a truly unique setting for holding formal dinners or board meetings for up to 14 delegates. Queen Matilda, the wife of King Stephen, founded the Hospital of St Katharine by the Tower in 1147. She set up St Katharine’s with a Master, three Brethren, three Sisters and six poor clerks.
This meeting room can host up to 16 delegates and is equipped with AV equipment. The room is located next to the Queen Elizabeth room and can be set up in a variety of seating configurations to suit a large number of meetings and seminars. It is named after the area of Ratcliffe, a former hamlet lying by the north bank of the River Thames between Shadwell and Limehouse.
Located in Chapelside, this is a secluded space ideal for personal retreats, coaching sessions, and as a writing room. The space is suitable for up to 4 people. The room is named after Nathaniel Woodard, a Church of England priest, who founded 11 schools in England. His aim was to provide an education based on “sound principle and sound knowledge”, firmly grounded in the Christian faith.
This meeting room can host up to 40 delegates and is equipped with AV equipment and air conditioning. The room has natural daylight, with a skylight and direct access to the adjoining studio outside. The Studio is an ideal private space for breakout groups or for refreshments to be served. The room can be set up in a variety of seating configurations to suit a large number of meetings and events. It is named after the Rv St John Groser who re-established the life of St Katharine’s here in 1948 to provide a Christian retreat centre.
This meeting room can host up to 15 delegates and is equipped with AV equipment. The room can be set up in a range of different layouts to suit your needs. It was named after Queen Eleanor, who granted a new Charter to “the Hospital of St. Katharine” in 1273.
Located in Chapelside, this is a secluded space ideal for personal retreats, coaching sessions, and as a writing room. The space is suitable for up to 3 people. The room is named after Queen Philippa who drew up new regulations to shape St Katharine’s life in 1351. This included the numbers of Church Services, as well as rules for dress, hairstyles and the community’s behaviour.
A bright and relaxed space ideal for informal meetings or breakout sessions of up to 6 people. Located in the new wing, it offers great accessibility to the lounge and reception.
Located in the south of St Katharine's Community Centre and the room is fully equipped with AV equipment including a HD projector and sound and looks out and has access to the wildflower banks in St Katharine’s Precinct. It can host up to 50 and is ideal for meetings.
Located in the south of St Katharine's Community Centre and has fantastic access to the paved area leading to St James’s Garden. It can host up to 60 and is ideal for informal gatherings and workshops, however it can be used in a variety of different configurations.
St Katharine’s is located in Zone 2 and is just a 2-minute walk from Limehouse DLR Station.

It’s hard to imagine a more peaceful setting in the heart of London. Set in beautiful gardens, St Katharine’s provides an extraordinary urban oasis in the city.
In keeping with the peaceful environment, there are no televisions in the bedrooms, however complimentary high-speed WiFi is available throughout St Katharine’s. Our spacious lounge, conservatory, garden and library are all wonderful settings to spend time relaxing or working during your stay.
Our beautiful garden is home to undisturbed wildlife also finding sanctuary at St Katharine’s. You can often see blackbirds, wood pigeons or squirrels in the sheltered space of our garden.
You may also be interested to go across into the rose garden, where you can find the rose bush planted by our patron Queen Elizabeth II during her last visit.
The health, safety and wellbeing of our guests and staff is our number one priority and we are taking all necessary steps to maintain and ensure this. We have reviewed our already thorough cleaning protocols to ensure all high-touch areas are regularly cleaned and sanitised throughout the day and have introduced social distancing measures in all areas.
